Description

The Bently Nevada 330800-16-00-039-03-02 is a self-contained proximity probe system that integrates a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe and an internal Proximitor Sensor within a durable housing assembly. The 330800-16-00-039-03-02 eliminates the need for an extension cable between the probe and sensor as well as a separate Proximitor housing, enabling direct field wiring connection between monitors and the assembly. Constructed from glass and conductive fiber-reinforced Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic, the housing provides Type 4X and IP66 protection with electrostatic dissipation for severe industrial environments.

Installation Guidelines

  • Field Wiring: Use three-conductor twisted shielded cable for terminal connection up to a maximum length of 305 metres (1,000 feet) between the sensor assembly and monitor.
  • Probe Gap Adjustment: Set the recommended target gap to 1.27 mm (50 mils) during installation.
  • Cable Routing & Conduit: Ensure precautions are taken to prevent moisture from entering or traveling through the conduit into the housing assembly.
  • Sleeve Support: Assemblies with combined B plus C dimensions greater than 305 mm (12 in) require additional sleeve support near the probe to reduce vibration and avoid resonance.
