Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to follow safety procedures can result in severe injury, death, or equipment damage. Always de-energize and lock out/tag out (LOTO) all power sources before installation or maintenance.
  1. 1 De-energize the main control cabinet and verify the absence of voltage using a calibrated meter. Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  2. 2 Select a suitable mounting location inside the panel, ensuring adequate clearance for ventilation around the PC chassis as specified by the manufacturer. Avoid proximity to high-noise sources like VFDs.
  3. 3 Securely mount the Box PC chassis to the backplane or mounting plate using all provided mounting points to ensure mechanical stability and proper grounding continuity.
  4. 4 Connect the main AC power cable to the unit's power supply input. Ensure the power source matches the 110/230V AC rating.
  5. 5 Connect a low-impedance protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated chassis grounding terminal. This is critical for safety and EMI protection.
  6. 6 Connect all required peripheral and network cables (Ethernet, USB, Serial). Use shielded cables for data lines where appropriate and ensure shields are properly terminated.
  7. 7 After a final inspection of all connections, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet to commission the system.
