Description

The KJ3001X1-BG1 is an isolated 8-channel discrete digital output module developed by Emerson for use within DeltaV™ distributed control systems. This field-mounted control component serves as an interface between system logic control and field equipment, transforming internal execution commands into isolated 24 VDC output signals. Engineered specifically to interface with automated infrastructure like solenoid valves, relays, and industrial indicators, it provides physical separation between the internal system architecture and external field power distribution loops to manage noise isolation and eliminate ground loops.

Installation Guidelines

  • Establish precise mechanical orientation using the predefined Key Positions B 5 on the module carrier before locking the housing.
  • Consult system engineering drawing 12P1293 for complete loop installation layouts.
  • Restrict field wiring parameters to the defined limits of 60 VDC, 1 A maximum per channel circuit.
  • Wire the external system loads in series with the designated Odd# polarity terminals (+ DC supply) and the Even# polarity terminals (Load side).
  • Keep ambient environment values between 0 and 60 degC without obstruction to top and bottom heat dissipation slots.
