ABB Adds AI-Assisted Diagnostics to Emissions Analyzer Monitoring

ABB’s September 29 update adds My Measurement Assistant+ and Genix Copilot AI to Remote Condition Monitoring for continuous emissions analyzers.

ABB announced an update to its Remote Condition Monitoring solution on September 29, 2026. The release targets Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems.

The update integrates My Measurement Assistant+ and Genix Copilot AI. ABB also lists continuous analyzer-health monitoring, automated reporting and remote troubleshooting.

What changed

  • Remote Condition Monitoring now links to My Measurement Assistant+.
  • Genix Copilot AI provides device-specific diagnostic guidance.
  • Operators can view analyzer health and historical device information across a fleet.
  • Automated reports add a consistent record of analyzer condition.

Engineering impact

The main change is earlier access to diagnostic context. Maintenance teams can review device history before dispatching a specialist.

That can shorten fault isolation, but it does not replace calibration, quality-assurance procedures or regulatory records. Site procedures still define the accepted maintenance action.

Plants using instruments such as the ABB EL3060 or ABB EL3040 should check support scope by analyzer, firmware and installed communications option.

Questions for an implementation review

  • Which analyzers and firmware revisions are supported?
  • What data leaves the site, and where is it retained?
  • How are remote users authenticated and audited?
  • Who owns diagnostic alarms and escalation?
  • How are AI suggestions separated from approved maintenance instructions?
  • What happens when the remote service is unavailable?
