Description

The ProvibTech TM0181-045-01 is an extension cable designed for static and dynamic distance measurements in rotating machinery monitoring applications. It connects TM0180 (8mm) or TM0105 (5mm) eddy current proximity probes to a TM0182 probe driver or compatible transmitters (such as DTM and TR series). The extension cable is built to API 670 standards, enabling system compatibility for monitoring radial vibration, axial thrust position, shaft radial position, eccentricity, and phase reference speed. With a custom cable jacket and an API 670 standard connector, the TM0181-045-01 maintains system isolation and protection in harsh industrial environments.

Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the combined length of the proximity probe cable and the TM0181 extension cable totals exactly 5.0 meters or 9.0 meters for proper system calibration.
• Utilize the standard protective rubber boot over the cable connection to prevent oil, water, and dirt ingress.
• Avoid tight bend radii and ensure the armored cable jacket is secured away from sharp metal edges or moving machine parts.
• Maintain proper ground isolation along the cable run to prevent ground loop interference in the vibration monitoring signal.
