The BECKHOFF EJ3048 is an EtherCAT plug-in module equipped with eight single-ended analog inputs. Designed for integration with application-specific signal distribution boards, this device processes current signals in the 0 to 20 mA range with a 12-bit resolution. As part of the EJ system architecture, it combines the communication performance of EtherCAT with a space-saving plug-in design suited for modular machine manufacturing and control cabinet applications.

This module features activatable FIR and IIR filters, limit value monitoring, and configurable conversion times to adapt signal processing behavior to specific application requirements. Electrical isolation protects internal electronics from field-side potential differences, while power for the internal electronics is supplied via the E-bus.
