Description

The Beckhoff EL3102 is a 2-channel analog input terminal designed to process differential voltage signals in the range of -10 V to +10 V with a 16-bit resolution. Operating on the EtherCAT system protocol, this device digitizes analog measurement signals and transmits them electrically isolated to the higher-level automation system via the E-bus. It features integrated Distributed Clocks to enable precise, synchronous signal acquisition with high time accuracy across the network. Built-in processing options include standard and compact process images, switchable measuring data representation, activatable FIR/IIR digital filters, and limit value monitoring.

Features

  • Two differential analog voltage input channels (-10 V to +10 V)
  • 16-bit resolution including sign for high-precision measurement
  • Distributed Clocks support with precision significantly under 1 us
  • Switchable measuring data representation and activatable FIR/IIR digital filters
  • Hardware-level limit value monitoring and standard/compact process image options
  • Galvanic isolation of 500 V between the E-bus and signal voltage

Applications

  • Multi-axis motion control requiring precise synchronous voltage feedback
  • High-accuracy sensor signal acquisition in industrial automation
  • High-speed test benches and signal monitoring systems
  • Process control systems using standardized -10 V to +10 V interfaces
