Operating in store-and-forward switching mode, the terminal supports all standard IEEE 802.3-based Ethernet protocols. Because the Ethernet frames are tunneled through the EtherCAT protocol, it guarantees seamless, transparent communication without disrupting real-time EtherCAT fieldbus performance.
