PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The 330102-00-40-05-01-00 is a high-precision, non-contacting displacement sensor designed for the continuous monitoring of critical rotating machinery. As a core component of the 3300 XL series, it provides superior frequency response and temperature stability. This model is configured with a 3/8-24 UNF thread and integrated stainless steel interlocking armor, engineered to withstand harsh industrial environments involving exposure to lubricating oils, moisture, and mechanical stress.

PART NUMBER DECOMPOSITION

330102 | Base Model

  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe with 3/8-24 UNF mounting threads and integrated armor.

-00 | Unthreaded Length

  • 0.0 inches: The probe body is fully threaded to the tip, allowing for flush mounting in standard brackets or thin machine walls.

-40 | Overall Case Length

  • 4.0 inches: Total length of the threaded stainless steel body, providing sufficient reach for deep-port installations.

-05 | Total Length

  • 0.5 metre (1.6 feet): Integrated probe lead length. Note: This 0.5m probe must be used with a 4.5m or 8.5m extension cable to meet system calibration requirements (5m or 9m total length).

-01 | Connector and Cable Option

  • ClickLoc™ Connector with Protector: Miniature coaxial connector featuring a tactile locking mechanism and a transparent protective sleeve to prevent accidental disconnection in high-vibration environments.

-00 | Agency Approval Option

  • Standard: General purpose/Non-certified version for use in non-hazardous areas.

FIELD ENGINEERING INSTALLATION GUIDE

I. MECHANICAL ALIGNMENT AND GAPPING

  1. Thread Installation: Manually thread the probe into the mounting port until the tip makes light contact with the target shaft.

  2. Gap Adjustment: Back the probe out approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils) from the shaft.

  3. Electrical Centering: Power the associated Proximitor® and monitor the DC output. Fine-tune the probe position until the DC Gap Voltage reaches -9.0 VDC (standard for 4140 steel).

  4. Final Securing: Tighten the locknut to a maximum torque of 4.5 N·m (40 in-lb). Re-verify the gap voltage after tightening to ensure no mechanical shift occurred.

II. SIGNAL INTEGRITY AND CABLE MANAGEMENT

  1. Bend Radius: Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) for the armored conduit to prevent internal coaxial damage.

  2. Connector Mating: Ensure the ClickLoc™ connector is pushed together until it clicks. Slide the connector protector over the junction to lock the interface.
