Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Disconnect all power sources before installation or servicing. This equipment is intended for use by qualified personnel only. Failure to observe this precaution can result in severe injury or death. Always verify that the supply voltage matches the 24 V DC rating of the device.
-
1
Ensure the control cabinet is de-energized and locked out according to local safety procedures before beginning installation.
-
2
Verify the panel cutout dimensions are correct for the IPC 477D chassis. Ensure adequate clearance for ventilation and cable routing.
-
3
Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front and secure it evenly using the provided mounting clamps. Do not overtighten the clamps.
-
4
Connect a low-impedance functional earth (FE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the IPC chassis to ensure proper noise immunity.
-
5
Connect the 24 V DC power supply to the power input connector, ensuring correct polarity. Use appropriately sized wiring for the load.
-
6
Connect Ethernet, USB, and RS-232 communication cables as required by the application. Ensure proper cable shielding and routing away from high-voltage lines.
-
7
After all connections are secure, remove the lockout/tagout device and re-energize the cabinet. Power on the IPC and verify system startup and functionality.
