Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present. All installation, maintenance, and removal procedures must be performed by qualified personnel only. Ensure the main control cabinet is de-energized and locked-out/tagged-out (LOTO) before commencing any work. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or death.
-
1
Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify that the mounting cutout in the enclosure or cabinet door matches the required dimensions for the Panel PC 670 chassis. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of debris.
-
2
Mount the Unit: Carefully insert the Panel PC into the prepared cutout from the front. Ensure the front bezel gasket is properly seated against the panel surface to maintain the intended environmental seal.
-
3
Secure Mounting Clamps: From the rear of the panel, install and tighten the mounting clamps provided with the unit. Apply torque evenly and sequentially to ensure a uniform seal without warping the bezel.
-
4
Connect Protective Earth (PE): Connect a dedicated, low-impedance protective earth conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the Panel PC chassis. This is critical for electrical safety and noise immunity.
-
5
Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the mains power cable to a properly rated and protected power source. Connect any required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and peripherals (e.g., keyboard, mouse).
-
6
Power-Up and Verification: After verifying all connections are secure and correct, remove the LOTO device and re-energize the cabinet. Power on the Panel PC and confirm that the operating system boots correctly and all interfaces are functional.
