Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Failure to de-energize equipment before installation can result in severe electrical shock, personnel injury, or damage to the Panel PC and connected systems. Always follow local lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
  1. 1 Verify that the control cabinet panel cutout dimensions match the Panel PC's required mounting specifications. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid.
  2. 2 De-energize the main power supply to the control cabinet and apply appropriate LOTO safety measures. Use a multimeter to confirm zero-energy state at the intended power connection points.
  3. 3 Carefully insert the Panel PC into the panel cutout from the front. Ensure the bezel gasket is properly seated against the panel surface to maintain the intended ingress protection rating.
  4. 4 From the rear of the panel, install and tighten the mounting clamps evenly in a crisscross pattern to ensure uniform pressure on the gasket. Do not overtighten.
  5. 5 Connect a low-impedance protective earth (PE) or functional ground wire to the designated grounding terminal on the Panel PC chassis. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  6. 6 Connect the 24 V DC power supply wiring to the unit's power input connector, ensuring correct polarity. Use appropriately sized conductors and secure the connections.
  7. 7 Connect all required communication, network (Ethernet), and peripheral (USB, serial) cables. Ensure proper cable strain relief and routing away from high-voltage lines.
  8. 8 After verifying all connections are secure, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the control cabinet. Power on the Panel PC and confirm successful boot-up and operation.
