Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical Hazard. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to comply with safety procedures can result in equipment damage, severe injury, or death. Always de-energize and lock out/tag out (LOTO) all power sources before installation or maintenance.
  1. 1 Verify that the panel cutout dimensions in the enclosure match the PC 477's mounting requirements. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of debris.
  2. 2 De-energize the main control cabinet and apply LOTO procedures. Verify the absence of voltage before proceeding.
  3. 3 Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the enclosure. Secure it evenly from the rear using all provided mounting clamps, tightening them to the specified torque to ensure a proper seal.
  4. 4 Connect the 24V DC power supply to the designated terminals. Double-check for correct polarity (+/-) to prevent damage to the unit's internal electronics.
  5. 5 Connect the PROFIBUS DP cable to the corresponding port. Ensure proper shielding and termination practices are followed according to PROFIBUS network standards.
  6. 6 Connect a dedicated functional earth (FE) conductor to the chassis grounding point to ensure proper noise immunity and safety.
  7. 7 After all connections are secure, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet. Observe the Panel PC during its boot sequence to confirm proper operation.
