Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages may be present. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Ensure all power sources are de-energized and locked out/tagged out (LOTO) before commencing any installation, wiring, or maintenance activities. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or death.
  1. 1
Panel Cutout and Mounting: Prepare the control cabinet panel cutout according to the manufacturer's dimensional drawings. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid. Insert the Panel PC into the cutout and secure it evenly using all provided mounting clamps to maintain the specified ingress protection rating.
  2. 2
Protective Earth (PE) Connection: Connect the chassis to the control cabinet's protective earth system using a low-impedance conductor. Use the designated PE terminal on the Panel PC. This connection is critical for electrical safety and noise immunity.
  3. 3
Power Supply Wiring: Connect a stable, filtered 24 V DC power source to the designated power supply terminals. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before energizing. Use appropriately sized conductors and ensure the power supply is adequately rated for the PC's current draw.
  4. 4
Interface Connections: Connect Ethernet, USB, and serial cables as required by the application. Use shielded cables for all data communication lines and ensure shields are properly terminated to ground at one end to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI). Route data cables separately from high-voltage power lines.
  5. 5
System Power-Up and Configuration: After verifying all connections, remove the LOTO device and apply power to the unit. The pre-installed operating system will boot. Proceed with network configuration, application software installation, and system commissioning as required.
