Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before accessing the control cabinet. This device contains electrostatically sensitive components; use appropriate ESD protection measures during handling and installation.

  1. 1 Verify Panel Cutout: Ensure the mounting cutout in the control cabinet panel corresponds to the IPC277D's required dimensions for a secure and sealed fit.
  2. 2 De-energize System: Before installation, completely de-energize the control cabinet and apply appropriate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to prevent accidental power-up.
  3. 3 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the panel. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to ensure proper sealing.
  4. 4 Connect Power: Connect the 24 V DC power supply to the designated power terminal. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before energizing to prevent damage to the internal circuitry.
  5. 5 Establish Ground Connection: Connect the functional earth (ground) terminal on the device to the control cabinet's main ground bar using a low-impedance conductor. This is critical for noise immunity and safety.
  6. 6 Connect Peripherals: Connect Ethernet, USB, and serial communication cables as required. Ensure all cables are properly routed and secured to prevent strain on the connectors.
