Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages can cause electric shock, burns, or death. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before installing or servicing this equipment. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only.
  1. 1 Verify the control panel and ET 200S station are completely de-energized and locked out according to safety procedures.
  2. 2 Insert the required SIMATIC MMC firmly into the designated slot on the module until it clicks into place. Do not power on the module without the MMC installed.
  3. 3 Align the module with the ET 200S terminal module or backplane and press firmly to engage the connectors. Ensure it is securely seated.
  4. 4 Connect the PROFIBUS DP communication cable to the 9-pole D-sub port. Secure the connector screws to prevent accidental disconnection. Ensure proper cable shielding and grounding practices are followed.
  5. 5 After all modules are installed and wired, remove the lockout/tagout devices and re-apply power to the system for commissioning.
