Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical hazard. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to de-energize equipment before installation can result in severe injury or death. Always follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  1. 1 De-energize System: Before installation, completely disconnect the main power supply to the control cabinet. Verify the absence of voltage using a calibrated multimeter.
  2. 2 Mount Securely: Install the Box PC on a stable, vibration-free surface within the control cabinet. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation and cable access. Use all provided mounting points.
  3. 3 Establish Ground Connection: Connect the chassis grounding terminal to the main protective earth (PE) busbar of the cabinet using a low-impedance conductor. A reliable ground connection is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  4. 4 Connect Power: Connect the AC power supply cable to a properly rated and protected industrial power source. Ensure the voltage matches the 110/230V rating of the power supply unit.
  5. 5 Connect I/O and Network Cables: Route and connect all communication cables (Ethernet, PROFIBUS, USB, Serial). Use shielded cables for fieldbus and analog signals, and ensure shields are properly terminated to ground at one end to prevent ground loops.
  6. 6 Final System Check: After all connections are made, perform a final inspection of wiring and mounting. Once confirmed, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet to power on the PC.
