Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: This equipment contains components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use appropriate ESD protection, including wrist straps and grounded mats, during handling and installation. Failure to do so may result in permanent damage to the device.
  1. 1 De-energize the control cabinet and implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before beginning installation.
  2. 2 Verify the mounting location provides adequate clearance for airflow and cable access. Securely mount the IPC chassis using all designated mounting points to ensure stability and proper grounding.
  3. 3 Connect a dedicated, low-impedance protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the IPC chassis. This is critical for both safety and noise immunity.
  4. 4 Terminate the 24 V DC power supply wiring, ensuring correct polarity is observed. Use appropriately sized conductors for the load and distance.
  5. 5 Connect Ethernet, PROFIBUS, USB, and any other required communication or peripheral cables. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and secured.
  6. 6 Route all cables neatly, maintaining separation between power and signal wiring to minimize electromagnetic interference. Secure cables to prevent strain on connectors.
  7. 7 After a final inspection of all connections, remove LOTO devices and apply power to the cabinet to begin system commissioning.
