  4. 4 Launch the "Automation License Manager" to verify the status of the pre-installed software licenses (STEP 7, WinCC, etc.). Transfer licenses if required, following Siemens procedures.
  5. 5 For PLC communication, use the included MPI cable to connect the Field PG's serial port to the MPI port of the target SIMATIC controller. Configure the communication interface settings within the TIA Portal or SIMATIC Manager software.
  6. 6 Always operate the Field PG on a clean, level, and stable surface to ensure proper ventilation and prevent accidental drops or impacts common in industrial settings.
