Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING

This equipment is intended for use in restricted access locations by qualified personnel only. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before installation or maintenance. Failure to properly ground the unit can result in electrical shock and equipment damage. Always verify the absence of voltage before handling conductors.

  1. 1 Ensure the control cabinet or rack is fully de-energized and locked out according to local safety procedures.
  2. 2 Verify adequate clearance for ventilation around the switch. Do not block air vents. Confirm the 19-inch rack has sufficient space and structural support.
  3. 3 Mount the switch into the 19-inch rack using the appropriate screws and cage nuts for all four mounting points. Ensure the unit is level and secure.
  4. 4 Connect a low-impedance protective earth (PE) conductor to the chassis grounding terminal. This connection is mandatory for safety and EMI performance.
  5. 5 Connect the AC power supply cord to the switch's power inlet. Ensure the source voltage is within the specified range of 85-264V AC.
  6. 6 Connect network cables to the appropriate RJ45 or SFP ports. Use shielded cabling in electrically noisy environments.
  7. 7 Remove the lockout/tagout devices and re-energize the cabinet. Verify the power and status LEDs on the switch indicate normal operation.
