Installation Guidelines

• Mount the assembly on a flat, machined surface to ensure proper alignment of the proximity probe.
• Utilize the 3/4-14 NPT mounting threads (Option F:02) to secure the housing body to the machine casing, ensuring approximately 5 to 7 full threads of engagement to maximize stiffness and prevent resonance.
• Keep the 1.5 in (38 mm) probe penetration sleeve clear of any internal machine components. Ensure the nominal gap of the probe (when field-installed) is adjusted using Option D's adjustment range of +/- 13 mm (+/- 0.5 in).
• Install the provided 3/4-14 NPT plug (Option E:04) in the unused conduit port to prevent ingress of moisture or contaminants.
• Ensure appropriate thread sealant is applied to the mounting and conduit threads to maintain Type 4 enclosure ratings.
