Installation Guidelines

• Thread Torque: Screw the probe body into place using the recommended torque of 15.2 N-m (133 in-lb). Do not exceed the absolute maximum case torque limit of 45.2 N-m (400 in-lb).
• Bend Radius: Route the armored cable carefully, ensuring that the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) is never compromised to prevent signal distortion or internal cable damage.
• Grounding and Shielding: Properly isolate the probe shield and coaxial connector. The shield from the coaxial cable is typically connected to instrument ground at the monitor or Proximitor Sensor side.
• Probe Gap: Adjust the nominal probe-to-target gap using a digital voltmeter measuring the Proximitor output. The standard gap of 2.5 mm (100 mils) yields an output of approximately -10.0 Vdc.
