Description

The 125840-01 is a High Voltage AC Power Input Module (PIM) manufactured by Bently Nevada for the 3500/15 Power Supply system within the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. Installed in a special half-height slot directly behind the associated AC power supply module at the rear of the rack, the 125840-01 accepts high-voltage AC utility power and routes it to the primary or backup AC power supply module. The module accommodates an input range of 175 to 264 Vac rms (247 to 373 Vac pk) at 47 to 63 Hz, drawing up to 2.3 A rms maximum under full rack load conditions. It includes internal fuse protection against over-voltage line conditions and operates seamlessly in single or dual-redundant power supply configurations.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mount the module into the designated rear half-height slot directly behind its corresponding front-installed 3500/15 AC power supply module.
  • When utilizing two power supplies for redundancy, ensure the primary supply is positioned in the lower slot and the backup supply in the upper slot.
  • Either power supply or PIM can be inserted or removed without disrupting rack operation, provided a second functional power supply is installed and active.
  • Connect high voltage AC line power within the specified 175 to 264 Vac rms operating window.

An over-voltage condition will cause the internal line fuse on the power input module to open, protecting the connected system components.

Can this power input module be replaced while the system is operating?

Yes, removing or inserting a power input module will not disrupt operation of the rack as long as a second active power supply is installed in the system.
