  • Cabling Requirements: Use only double-shielded, Category 5e or higher STP straight cables. Standard unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables should not be used due to noise sensitivity at 1 Gbps speeds.
  • Noise Abatement: Route communication cables away from high-voltage cables and motor drive lines by a minimum of 100 mm to avoid electromagnetic interference.
  • Grounding: Ensure the base unit's functional ground (FG) terminal is connected to a dedicated class D ground (grounding resistance of 100 ohms or less).
