Description

The Beckhoff IP3112-B518 Fieldbus Box meets this demand by providing direct connection of peripheral signals to CANopen networks in harsh industrial environments. By housing the communication and I/O interface in a compact, environmentally sealed module, this device minimizes cabling effort and reduces cabinet space requirements.

Operating as a high-performance CANopen node, the IP3112-B518 supports up to 16 send and 16 receive Process Data Objects (PDOs), enabling highly flexible data transmission. It features advanced CANopen communication profiles including life guarding, node guarding, emergency object handling, variable mapping, and store/restore parameters. Configuration can be executed either via the KS2000 service software or directly from the master controller using Service Data Objects (SDOs). The integrated M12 T-connector simplifies bus cabling by allowing direct loop-through of the network medium without additional external splitters.
