Installation Guidelines

Proper installation of the extension cable is necessary for maintaining signal integrity in critical monitoring loops. Keep the following procedures in mind:

• Maintain the minimum bend radius of the armored cable to prevent damage to the internal coaxial core and shielding.
• Ensure that the ClickLoc connectors are clean and dry before connection. Wipe any grease or contaminants off the contacts using a lint-free cloth and electrical contact cleaner.
• Tighten the coaxial gold ClickLoc connectors finger-tight until they click. Do not use pliers or other tools on 3300 XL to 3300 XL gold connectors.
• Install a connector protector sleeve over the connection to guard against environmental moisture, oil, and dust when placed in exposed areas.
• When routing, avoid running the cable near high-voltage wiring to minimize electromagnetic interference.
