Installation Guidelines

  2. Place the device on a stable, level surface in a clean, dry environment, ensuring adequate ventilation around the chassis.
  3. Connect the provided power line cable to the Field PG and then to a properly grounded AC power outlet that matches the device's electrical requirements.
  4. Power on the Field PG and allow the Windows operating system to fully load before launching any engineering software.
  5. Connect the included MPI cable between the appropriate port on the Field PG and the target SIMATIC controller or automation device.
  6. Configure the communication interface within the STEP 7 software (Set PG/PC Interface) to establish a connection with the controller.
