Description

Processing analog signals directly in harsh field environments is simplified with the EP3162-0002 EtherCAT Box. This IP67-rated decentralized module features two highly flexible, galvanically isolated analog inputs that are software-parameterizable for either voltage (-10/0 to +10 V) or current (-20/0/4 to +20 mA) signals on a per-channel basis. By executing analog-to-digital conversion directly at the sensor location, this module minimizes signal degradation over long wire runs, enabling clean 16-bit measurement resolution across distributed fieldbus networks.

The device features dual-channel isolation to eliminate ground loop issues, making it highly reliable in electrically noisy industrial applications. Connectivity is facilitated through robust, industry-standard M12 connectors for the sensor lines and M8 connectors for the EtherCAT fieldbus and power supply daisy-chaining.
