Installation Guidelines
Ensure that the outer sleeve is properly torqued into the machinery casing. The recommended torque for the probe sleeve locknut is 39.3 N-m (350 in-lb). The retaining nut should be torqued to 29.5 N-m (260 in-lb). When deploying in hazardous locations, verify local grounding requirements; the conductive fibers in the PPS housing must be correctly integrated with the local safety grounding system. Field terminal wires must be connected securely using terminal screws inside the lid, minimizing exposed conductors.
