The Bently Nevada 330980-71-00 is a non-contacting 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor designed as part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. It is specifically engineered for use with centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machinery exhibiting tight installation requirements or small target areas. This includes measuring radial vibration or radial position on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 inches) and axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 inches).

The device features an enhanced side-view profile and small target characteristics that deliver a 1.5 mm (60 mils) linear range. Utilizing SpringLoc terminal strips, it allows robust field wiring connections without requiring specialized installation tools. Its compact mechanical profile supports high-density installations while providing immunity against RFI/EMI high-frequency radio signals.

Installation Guidelines

• Mounting Configuration: Designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting installations. Ensure a minimum additional clearance of 3.05 mm (0.120 inches) is available to remove the DIN rail smoothly.
• Field Wiring: Use a three-conductor shielded triad cable between the sensor and the monitor up to a maximum length of 305 meters (1000 feet).
• Electrostatic Discharge: Take reasonable engineering precautions to avoid electrostatic discharge during handling and electrical connection hookup.
