Grounding and EMI Mitigation

To maintain the integrity of the PROFIBUS signal in high-interference environments, the cable shield must be grounded at both ends. The AC500 terminal base provides a grounding path through the DIN rail; verify that the rail is connected to a low-impedance functional earth. Maintain a minimum separation of 100 mm between PROFIBUS data cables and motor power cables or frequency inverter leads.

Configuration and Commissioning

Integration of the CM592-DP requires the ABB Automation Builder software. The module must be inserted into the left-side communication slots of the AC500 CPU terminal base.
