| Memory Card Slot | CF Card Interface for external backup, logging, and OS updates |
The GT1695M-XTBD can directly replace older GT15 series 15-inch models (such as the GT1595 series). Project files must be converted using GT Designer3 software. The panel cutout dimensions are identical, allowing for a drop-in physical replacement without modifying the enclosure door.
High ambient temperatures inside sealed control enclosures can significantly accelerate backlight degradation. Ensure adequate panel ventilation or cooling to maintain the HMI's ambient operating temperature below 50 degC. Avoid installing the unit in direct sunlight, as UV exposure can damage the resistive touch membrane over time.
When utilizing the RS-422/485 serial interface over long distances, ensure that the appropriate termination resistor is enabled via the HMI system settings. Always route communication cables (Ethernet and Serial) in separate conduits away from high-voltage motor drive cables to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) from disrupting touch screen inputs or communication links.
Prepare the panel cutout according to the official dimensions (383.5 mm x 282.5 mm). Ensure the mounting surface is flat and free of burrs to guarantee a proper IP67F seal.
Insert the HMI into the panel cutout from the front, ensuring the waterproof packing gasket is correctly positioned in its groove.
Secure the HMI using the provided mounting fixtures. Tighten the screws evenly to the specified torque (0.36 N-m to 0.48 N-m) to prevent panel deformation.
Connect the functional ground terminal (FG) on the rear of the unit to a dedicated class-D ground (100 ohms or less) using a minimum 2 mm square wire.
