Direct field-level control of high-current actuators is executed efficiently using the Beckhoff ER2028-1032 EtherCAT Box. Housed in a highly durable, zinc die-cast enclosure, this distributed I/O module features 8 digital outputs designed to switch electrical loads directly in demanding industrial environments. Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting: Secure the zinc die-cast module directly to a flat machine surface using 2 fixing holes for M3 screws (3.5 mm diameter) or 2 fixing holes for M4 screws (4.5 mm diameter).
  • Grounding: Ensure the metallic housing has a low-impedance connection to the machine ground/PE to maintain EMC immunity.
  • Connector Torque: Tighten all M12 and 7/8" connectors to the manufacturer-specified torque to guarantee IP67 protection against moisture and dust ingress. Put protective caps on any unused ports.
