Description

The Bently Nevada 136180-01 3500/92 Communication Gateway Module provides communication integration between the 3500 machinery protection system and external process control or automation platforms. The module supports both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial communication interfaces for transferring monitored values, alarm statuses, module statuses, and system data from the 3500 rack.

The 3500/92 Communication Gateway Module supports Modicon Modbus protocol through serial communication interfaces including RS232, RS422, and RS485. It also supports Modbus/TCP communication over Ethernet networks and proprietary Bently Nevada communication protocols for use with 3500 Rack Configuration Software and Data Acquisition Software.

The module communicates with other rack modules through the internal high-speed 3500 rack network. Collected data may include current measured values with time stamps, module health information, and alarm conditions depending on installed module configuration.

The Ethernet interface uses an RJ45 connection designed for 10BASE-T Ethernet networks conforming to IEEE802.3 standards. The module supports configurable Modbus register mapping through the Configurable Modbus Register Utility.
