Description

The Bently Nevada 136188-02 is an Ethernet/RS485 Modbus I/O Module designed for use with the 3500/92 Communication Gateway in the 3500 Series machinery protection system. Installed in the rear slot of the 3500 rack, it provides both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial RS485 communication interfaces to transmit rack-monitored values, module statuses, and current alarm statuses to process control and automation systems. This module supports Modbus/TCP, serial Modbus RTU, and proprietary Bently Nevada protocols, enabling integration with DCS/PLC platforms as well as 3500 Rack Configuration and Data Acquisition Software. This spare module package includes the Firmware Upgrade Kit (126M4118-01).

Installation Guidelines

  • Slot Placement: Install the Ethernet/RS485 Modbus I/O Module into a full-height rear slot directly behind the 3500/92 Communication Gateway main module.
  • Ethernet Cabling: Use standard 10BASE-T shielded Category 5 cable with RJ-45 connectors for Ethernet communication.
