Description

The Foxboro P0973CN is a 4-position vertical DIN rail mounted expansion baseplate used in the Foxboro I/A Series DCS. It provides a dedicated hardware platform to house a fault-tolerant pair of FCP270 field control processors in two positions and a redundant pair of FEM100 fieldbus expansion modules in the remaining two positions. Operating on a passive backplane structure, the Foxboro P0973CN delivers high-reliability power routing and communication interconnections across the 2 Mbps Module Fieldbus. Installation Guidelines

  • Clearance: Ensure adequate enclosure clearance around the mounted baseplate to accommodate module insertion, removal, and field wiring clearance.
  • Live Insertion: Baseplates can be connected or expanded without removing the system from service provided a redundant bus structure is in place.
