Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical Hazard. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. De-energize all power sources and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before commencing any installation or maintenance tasks. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or death.

  2. 2 Securely mount the switch onto a standard DIN rail, S7 rail, or a flat panel/wall surface using the appropriate mounting points. Ensure adequate clearance for ventilation and cable access.
  3. 3 Connect a low-impedance protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the switch chassis. This is essential for safety and EMC performance.
  4. 4 Connect the primary and, if used, redundant DC power supply lines to the power input terminals, observing correct polarity.
  5. 5 Terminate shielded Ethernet cables to the RJ45 ports. Ensure proper shield grounding at the cable gland or connector backshell to minimize noise interference.
  6. 6 If using fiber optic connections, insert the appropriate SFP transceivers into the combo port cages before connecting fiber optic patch cords.
  7. 7 Insert a C-PLUG memory module (if available) into the designated slot to enable automatic configuration backup and restore.
