Installation Guidelines

  • Before removing the module, ensure all fixing screws are completely loosened and the unit is freely movable.
  • To remove, push the ejection lever (on the front label) downward and withdraw the module in an upward motion to prevent the triggering of faulty signals.
  • To attach, place the module onto the terminal block and press inwards until fully seated; perform this action quickly to maintain system signal integrity.
  • Verify correct settings for the bus station number and transmission rate using switch S1.
  • Buffer battery maintenance: Replace at least every 6 years, or within 3 months if the "BATI" display appears; use Lithium battery type CR 2477N (HIMA part no. 44 0000018).

Compliance and Certifications

  • IEC 61508 (up to SIL 3)
  • CE

HIMA F 8652X Central Module H41q Series Safety-Related

Can the module be used to replace older HIMA models?

Yes, the device is designed to replace the previous models F 8652, F 8652A, and F 8652E.

How should the bus station number be configured?

The bus station number is configured using switches S1-1 through S1-5. In Ethernet network applications using operating system V7.0-8 or higher, switches S1-6 and S1-7 are also used to set station numbers up to 99.

What is the recommended maintenance for the buffer battery?

It is recommended to replace the lithium battery (type CR 2477N) at least every 6 years, or within three months if the BATI diagnostic message is displayed.

What is the purpose of the ejection lever?

The ejection lever is used to safely remove the device from the bus board. It must be pushed top-down to ensure the module is withdrawn correctly without triggering faulty signals in the system.
