Installation Guidelines

  • Module Placement: Mount the module onto a standard DIN rail or directly to a panel using integrated mounting tabs. Maintain a secure connection with adjacent Compact I/O modules via the built-in locking mechanism.
  • Power Supply Constraints: Ensure the configuration complies with distance ratings and backplane current limits. The module draws 120 mA at 5V DC and 60 mA at 24V DC from the system backplane power rail.
  • Shielding and Grounding: Use high-quality twisted-pair shielded cable for all analog signal paths. Connect the cable shield to a clean ground point at the controller end only to mitigate EMI/RFI issues.
  • Wiring Separation: Route low-voltage analog signal wires through dedicated conduits separated from high-voltage motor power lines and AC control wiring.
