Description

The Allen-Bradley 1771-WG is a PLC-5 field wiring arm designed for use with 1771 I/O modules. It features 21 gold-plated terminals and provides connections for up to 16 I/O points. Operating as a removable connection interface, the 1771-WG attaches to the horizontal bar at the bottom of the 1771 I/O chassis, pivoting upward to connect with the module. This pivoting mechanism allows for module installation or removal without disconnecting field wiring. Featuring a conformal coating, the arm is suitable for low-resistance applications and requires no external power source.

Features

  • Terminal Capacity: Equipped with 21 terminals featuring gold-plated contacts.
  • I/O Support: Accommodates up to 16 I/O channels for field wiring termination.
  • Pivoting Mechanism: Mounts to the chassis horizontal bar and pivots upward, enabling module replacement without rewiring.
  • Conformal Coating: Provides protection for low-resistance industrial application environments.
  • Passive Operation: Operates without requiring external power input.

Applications

  • PLC-5 Systems: Interfacing field devices with Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O modules.
  • Industrial Automation: Low-resistance signal termination in plant wiring networks.
