Installation Guidelines

  • Panel Mounting: Mount the terminal into a panel cutout measuring 123 x 156 mm. Ensure proper gasket alignment to maintain NEMA 4X / IP66 front enclosure sealing.
  • Clearance and Ventilation: Allow sufficient clearance around the back of the enclosure for air circulation and cable connections. Maintain proper clearance to prevent overheating.
  • Power Supply: Connect to a 24V DC nominal power source (18...30V DC). Use a safety extra low voltage (SELV) or protected extra-low voltage (PELV) power supply, such as catalog number 1606-XLE120E.
  • Grounding and Shielding: Connect the functional ground terminal on the DC power connector to earth ground using low-impedance copper wire to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  • Cable Routing: Separate communication lines (Ethernet and RS-232) from high-voltage power lines and motor wiring to avoid interference.

Compliance and Certifications

  • c-UL-us: UL Listed Industrial Control Equipment for US and Canada (File E10314); Class I, Div 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Div 2, Groups F, G; Class III Hazardous Locations
