Description

Designed for seamless integration on the right-hand side of operator interfaces, the C9900-E668 push-button extension provides auxiliary physical controls for industrial environments. This tactile extension panel is specifically designed for Beckhoff CP6x22-00xx and CP7x22-00xx Control Panels and Panel PCs equipped with 15-inch displays and numeric keyboards.

The unit features 14 square push-button keys with integrated signal lamps (Siemens Signum, 30 x 30 mm) and one dedicated Siemens Signum emergency stop button. Electrical integration is highly versatile: signal lamps and primary normally-open (NO) contacts are transmitted directly via CP-Link or USB interfaces, while a secondary independent set of normally-open contacts is routed to a terminal strip for direct hardwiring. The emergency stop switch is fully independent and directly wireable for safety-critical integration.

Features

  • Panel Compatibility: Engineered for right-side mounting on Beckhoff CP6x22-00xx and CP7x22-00xx control units with 15-inch screens.
  • Operator Interface: 14 square Siemens Signum push-buttons (30 x 30 mm) with integrated signal illumination.
  • Safety Elements: Integrated Siemens Signum emergency stop button, designed for direct hardwiring into safety circuits.
  • Customizable Legend: Insertable labels for push-button caps allow for clear, application-specific functional marking.
  • Dual Contact Paths: Primary push-button signals transmit over CP-Link or USB, while secondary normally-open contacts terminate at a terminal block for independent wiring.
  • Bus-Controlled Illumination: All signal lamps are driven exclusively via CP-Link or USB.

Applications

  • Automotive manufacturing assembly lines and robotic cells.
  • Special purpose machinery requiring direct physical operator overrides.
  • Process control systems needing reliable local emergency stop controls alongside HMI visualization.
  • Heavy industrial control environments utilizing Beckhoff Panel PCs.

Which specific Beckhoff panels is the C9900-E668 compatible with?

The C9900-E668 is designed for right-side installation on Beckhoff CP6x22-00xx and CP7x22-00xx Control Panels and Panel PCs equipped with 15-inch displays and numeric keyboards.

How are the push-button signals transmitted to the controller?

Primary push-button contacts and all signal lamp controls are transmitted via CP-Link or USB. For redundant or safety-related wiring, a second independent normally-open contact for each button is routed directly to a terminal block for hardwiring.

Is the integrated emergency stop button connected via USB?

No. The Siemens Signum emergency stop button is directly wireable via independent terminals, allowing it to be integrated directly into a physical safety circuit or safety relay system.

Can I custom label the individual push-button keys?

Yes, the push-button caps are designed to accept custom labels, enabling distinct, process-specific markings for each of the 14 buttons.
