The C9900-E845 is designed exclusively for 15-inch diagonal screens within the classic CP6x02 and CP7x02 families. Because this product is currently in its service phase, ensure that physical spacing tolerances and bracket paths on mounting arms match the older panel revisions. Verify that your USB or CP-Link drivers are updated in your system images to ensure continuous transmission of key states.
While the 16 standard push-buttons feature a redundant, dual-contact wiring design, the integrated LED signal lamps can only be driven via software commands through CP-Link or USB. This means that if the communication bus drops, the signal lamps will go dark even if the secondary hardwired terminal contacts are physically closed. Design auxiliary HMI screens to handle feedback loops accordingly.
When wiring the secondary normally-open contacts directly to terminal rows, use shielded control cables to prevent EMI from nearby high-frequency motor cables or variable frequency drives. Ensure the emergency stop wiring is integrated into a verified safety monitoring relay or safe input slice, and run functional testing to confirm the physical contact opens reliably under load.
