This module functions as the core processing engine of the modular CX1030 Embedded PC system. Operating without an active disk drive, it relies on a Compact Flash slot for solid-state storage, ensuring high mechanical vibration resistance and long-term reliability in harsh operating conditions.

The unit features built-in communication interfaces, including two RJ45 Ethernet ports connected through an internal switch. It interfaces directly with Beckhoff Bus Terminals (K-bus) or EtherCAT Terminals (E-bus) via an attached CX1100 series power supply module. This architectural modularity allows users to assemble tailor-made control stations by adding I/O, communication, and power options directly onto the system bus.

Installation Guidelines

The CX1030-0110 module must be mounted on a standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) in a horizontal position to allow proper thermal convection. To ensure adequate cooling, maintain a minimum of 30 mm clearance above and below the module. The system assembly must be mechanically locked on the DIN rail using end brackets. Power is supplied exclusively through a connected power supply module (such as the CX1100-0012, CX1100-0013, or CX1100-0014) via the internal PC/104 system bus.
