Product Description

Description

The BECKHOFF EK1300 is a dedicated EtherCAT P coupler designed to integrate standard EtherCAT Terminals (ELxxxx series) directly into 100BASE-TX EtherCAT P networks. EtherCAT P combines ultra-high-speed EtherCAT communication alongside two independent, electrically isolated 24 V DC power supplies—system and sensor supply (US) and peripheral/actuator supply (UP)—into one single standard four-wire Ethernet cable.

Housed in a compact terminal design, the BECKHOFF EK1300 features P-coded M8 connections to prevent incorrect wiring configurations in the field. The coupler generates the required E-bus operating current from the incoming system supply voltage, permitting downstream communication across all connected standard EtherCAT Terminals on the terminal strip.

Features

  • Seamless connection of standard IP20 ELxxxx EtherCAT Terminals to EtherCAT P networks
  • Two P-coded M8 interfaces for incoming network connection and continuation
  • Integrated power transmission of system/sensor supply (US) and peripheral/actuator supply (UP)
  • High-efficiency internal E-bus power supply delivering up to 2000 mA to downstream terminals
  • Onboard diagnostic and status LEDs for rapid field troubleshooting
  • Compact DIN-rail mounting with mechanical slot-and-key side-by-side terminal connection

Applications

  • Decentralized control architectures requiring clean integration of IP20 terminal assemblies
  • Single-cable machine and sensor-actuator networks
  • Power and communication distribution networks utilizing EtherCAT P infrastructure
