Description

Designed for high-density analog signal acquisition, the EL3008 EtherCAT Terminal processes up to eight single-ended voltage signals in the range of -10 V to +10 V. Each analog input channel features a 12-bit resolution, mapped into a 16-bit process image (including sign representation) for standard compatibility with EtherCAT control environments. Powered directly through the E-bus, this compact 12 mm module provides electrical isolation between the internal E-bus circuitry and the field-side signal lines to ensure high signal integrity and system robustness in demanding electrical environments.

The EL3008 features configurable conversion times and built-in digital filters (FIR/IIR) to help suppress high-frequency noise and match system-specific acquisition requirements. Integrating limit value monitoring and overload detection directly within the process data, this module simplifies diagnosis and monitoring tasks for modern PLC, DCS, and industrial automation networks.

Features

  • Eight independent single-ended analog input channels in a compact terminal housing.
  • Voltage measurement range from -10 V to +10 V with 12-bit conversion resolution.
  • Fast internal conversion time with a default rate of 1.25 ms (configurable and multiplexed).
  • Integrates software-activatable FIR and IIR filters for effective signal conditioning.
  • Advanced diagnostics including limit value monitoring and channel-specific overload indication in process data.
  • Robust electrical isolation of 500 V between the E-bus and signal channels.
  • High-density spring-loaded cage connection system for quick and secure field wiring.

Applications

  • Multi-point voltage monitoring in process plants and manufacturing systems.
  • Sensor and transducer data acquisition in factory automation.
  • Control loop feedback in mechanical engineering and test benches.
  • Sub-assembly integration within centralized EtherCAT I/O architectures.
