Description
Designed for direct connection of thermocouples in harsh environments, the EQ3314-0002 EtherCAT Box provides high-precision temperature measurement with a robust, washdown-compatible enclosure. This industrial I/O module features four analog input channels that support a wide range of thermocouple sensor types, enabling linear temperature curve evaluation and cold junction compensation directly within the unit. The mechanical design features a high-grade stainless steel housing specifically engineered for hygienic applications, food and beverage processing, and chemical environments requiring frequent high-pressure cleaning.
The EQ3314-0002 interfaces directly with EtherCAT networks via dual M8 connections, processing signals with high resolution and transmitting digitized temperature values back to the controller. Configurable input filtering and adjustable conversion times allow industrial automation engineers to optimize measurement performance for dynamic thermal processes or high-noise electrical environments.

Installation Guidelines
- Mount the module directly to the machinery or structural frame using the 2 integrated fixing lugs designed for M5 screws.
- Ensure correct grounding of the stainless steel housing to minimize electromagnetic interference and ensure safe operation.
- Use only fully shielded M8 cables for the EtherCAT network to maintain communication integrity in noisy environments.
- Verify that all unused M12 and M8 ports are sealed with compatible IP69K-rated protective caps to prevent moisture ingress.
- Route sensor wiring away from high-power AC cables or motor drives to limit inductive noise coupling.
