The BECKHOFF ER2328-0002 is a high-performance, decentralized EtherCAT Box module housed in a robust zinc die-cast enclosure. When replacing an active ER2328-0002, always turn off the control power (Us) and peripheral load power (Up). Label and document all M8 and M12 field connections before unplugging them to prevent configuration errors. Once the hardware swap is complete and the cable connectors are tightened to preserve IP protection, the EtherCAT master will automatically detect and integrate the replacement module during initial boot-up.
