Description

The GE Multilin UR-RHH is a power supply module designed for direct installation within Universal Relays (UR) series protection and control systems. It converts input station power to supply internal processing logic and feed field dry contact inputs. Featuring built-in diagnostic and health-testing logic, the module continually evaluates internal hardware integrity and de-energizes automatically in the event of a critical component failure while reporting operational status through faceplate status LEDs.

Features

  • Compatible with GE Multilin Universal Relay (UR) chassis systems
  • High Range (HI) nominal operational capability supporting 125 to 250 V (DC and AC)
  • Continuous auto-diagnostic self-testing with major and minor device integrity checks
  • Automatic de-energization execution during critical failure detection
  • Faceplate LED status reporting including continuous on, cycling, and off states
  • Black matte finish for environmental protection and aesthetic integration

Applications

  • Primary and secondary power distribution in GE Multilin UR protection relay racks
  • Utility substations requiring reliable internal processing and contact input power
  • Industrial power systems utilizing GE EnerVista UR software management

Installation Guidelines

  • Ensure input power lines are de-energized before inserting or removing the module from the UR rack chassis.
  • Verify correct ground continuity to the chassis frame to mitigate electromagnetic interference and line transients.
  • Ensure proper ventilation spacing around the UR enclosure to support passive convective heat dissipation.
  • Observe internal fuse rating limits (4 A / 250 V) when servicing or performing maintenance procedures.

What is the primary function of the UR-RHH power supply module?

The module provides internal operating power to GE Multilin Universal Relays and feeds energy to connected dry contact input circuits.

How does the module signal internal hardware issues?

The relay self-testing functions monitor hardware health and communicate conditions via faceplate LEDs with continuous on, cycling, or off states.

What voltage ranges does the HI version of this module support?

The High Range (HI) option operates at a nominal 125 to 250 VDC and 100 to 240 VAC.
