Description

The Honeywell CC-PUIO01 51454205-175 is a Universal Process I/O Module designed for interfacing with analog input, analog output, digital input, and digital output field devices within Experion Series-C I/O systems. Each channel on the module is individually software-configurable to support current-based Analog Input (2, 3, or 4-wire devices), Analog Output, Digital Input, Digital Output, or Pulse Input on channels 15 through 18. Integrated with 16-bit A/D converter resolution and HART 7 protocol support for analog channels, the module executes an input scan rate of 50 ms and includes channel-level electronic short-circuit protection alongside open wire detection capabilities.

Features

  • Software-configurable channels supporting Analog Input, Analog Output, Digital Input, Digital Output, and Pulse Input (channels 15-18)
  • HART 7 protocol support for analog input/output communications
  • Channel-level electronic short circuit protection with no damage to adjacent channels
  • Open wire detection and per-channel safe-state (FAILOPT) configurable behaviors
  • Fast Scan (Priority I/O Module Scan) capability
  • Extended ambient operating temperature range covering -40 to 70 degC

Applications

  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS) process automation
  • Process plant field instrument signal aggregation and control
  • Zone 2 / Division 2 hazardous location energy limited/nonincendive field wiring applications

Technical Datasheet

Honeywell CC-PUIO01 51454205-175 Experion C300 Universal Process I/O Module

Which channels support pulse input frequency measurement?

Pulse input processing is supported exclusively on channels 15, 16, 17, and 18 up to 10 kHz.

What happens if a single field signal terminal short circuits?

Electronic protection prevents damage to the module, ensuring remaining channels continue operation unaffected.

Which IOTA base units are required for redundant and non-redundant setups?

Non-redundant configurations use the CC-TUIO01 IOTA, whereas redundant setups require the CC-TUIO11 IOTA.

OSHA boxes checked is not the same as a living PSM system. Refinery history shows programs fail when procedures, training, contractors, and investigations drift from how the plant actually runs.
